Rinny's Waiting On Wednesday #4

Hey peeps,

Welcome to this weeks Waiting on Wednesday!

This week I am going to give you a look at what I am currently excited to read.

 Waiting On Release

Okay so this is top of my waiting on list now and will be till April next year!!! I know right. It is all ready getting to me, i want this book like 2 days ago when I finished The King lol. Expected publication: April 7th 2015. Book 13 in the black dagger brotherhood series.

Blurb :

Two brothers bound by more than blood fight to change a brutal destiny in the heart-wrenching new novel of the Black Dagger Brotherhood by #1 New York Times best selling author J. R. Ward.

Trez “Latimer” doesn't really exist. And not just because the identity was created so that a Shadow could function in the underbelly of the human world. Sold by his parents to the Queen of the S’Hsibe as a child, Trez escaped the Territory and has been a pimp and an enforcer in Caldwell, NY for years- all the while on the run from a destiny of sexual servitude. He’s never had anyone he could totally rely on... except for his brother, iAm.

iAm’s sole goal has always been to keep his brother from self-destructing- and he knows he’s failed. It’s not until the Chosen Serena enters Trez’s life that the male begins to turn things around... but by then it’s too late. The pledge to mate the Queen’s daughter comes due and there is nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, and no negotiating.

Trapped between his heart and a fate he never volunteered for, Trez must decide whether to endanger himself and others- or forever leave behind the female he’s in love with. But then an unimaginable tragedy strikes and changes everything. Staring out over an emotional abyss, Trez must find a reason to go on or risk losing himself and his soul forever. And iAm, in the name of brotherly love, is faced with making the ultimate sacrifice...

So i have a pile of books to review and have been struggling to get through them due to health and family reasons. (Thank god i do not have Kimmy's Net Galley obssession problems lol) Slowly i am starting to see the light. This one has been on my list for awhile and i am still as excited to get to read it. Sorry Jean Marie Bauhaus.

Blurb :

Meg the pixie never had much interest in drab, boring humans; that is, until she spies skin of gleaming brass peeking out from beneath the sleeve of reclusive inventor Phineas Farnsworth. Her curiosity sufficiently piqued, Meg follows Phineas to his home, where an unfortunate encounter with his cat leaves her forever changed -- both inside and out.

Rinny presents Mailbox Monday #8

Welcome to this weeks Mailbox Monday!

Hey everyone! Hope your having a great start to the week after a lovely weekend?

It's Rinny here today bringing you what  I got in my mailbox this past week. So lets see then:

First up

We were extremely lucky and won a £25 amazon voucher from the lovely and awesome author Lizzy Ford. So as we do with all things blog related we went half's. With my voucher i got two new books. (Boy did i have a rough time choosing what to get and still have a lil bit to spend. I am hopeless at making decisions even worse when it comes to two things books and food lol.

The first book i bought was partly down to my new found obsession with free online action packed MMO game Marvel Heroes 2015, if you play let me know. However a author quote on the front really sold it to me " It's The Avengers meets The Walking Dead with a large order of epic served on the side." (Ernest Cline, best selling author of Ready Player One). Say what yup yup yup hell yes I just could not pass the chance up lol.

Ex-Heroes (Ex-Heroes #1) by Peter Clines

Blurb

The first in a spectacularly genre-mashing adventure series that pits a small group of courageous, flawed, terrified superheroes against hordes of undead.

Stealth. Gorgon. Regenerator. Cerberus. Zzzap. The Mighty Dragon. They were heroes, using their superhuman abilities to make Los Angeles a better place.

Then the plague of living death spread around the globe. Now, a year later, the heroes struggle to overcome their differences and recover from their own scars as they protect the thousands of survivors huddled in their film-studio-turned-fortress, the Mount.

But the hungry ex-humans are not the only threat the survivors face. Across the city, another group has grown and gained power.

Next up

The next book i got was the second from my books with my Amazon voucher. I haven't got round to reading the Percy Jackson series but have heard it is amazing. This series is meant to be like that but Norse mythology which i adore. I cannot wait to read this book first in a series and it has beautiful illustrations in it. Think it is classed as middle grade. Love the cover! So beautiful in person.

Loki's Wolves (The Blackwell Pages #1)by K.L. Armstrong, M.A. Marr

Blurb

In Viking times, Norse myths predicted the end of the world, an event called Ragnarok, that only the gods can stop. When this apocalypse happens, the gods must battle the monsters--wolves the size of the sun, serpents that span the seabeds, all bent on destroying the world.

The gods died a long time ago.

Matt Thorsen knows every Norse myth, saga, and god as if it was family history--because it is family history. Most people in the modern-day town of Blackwell, South Dakota, in fact, are direct descendants of either Thor or Loki, including Matt's classmates Fen and Laurie Brekke.

However, knowing the legends and completely believing them are two different things. When the rune readers reveal that Ragnarok is coming and kids led by Matt will stand in for the gods in the final battle, he can hardly believe it. Matt, Laurie, and Fen's lives will never be the same as they race to put together an unstoppable team to prevent the end of the world
