Today is day two in the Age of Iron Blog Tour and we are your lucky hosts. My name is Kimmy, I am your reviewer for today. For those of you who are new to our blog, you will see that my style of review isn't your normal review style. I could sit and tell you loads and loads about the book, my favourite scene etc, but for me personally, that spoils it, I don't like spoilers, I like to review differently. I do however love to discuss my favourite scenes etc with readers who have already read the book, so feel free to comment below. So I do hope you enjoy, lets get this show on the road:

The lovely Clara at Little, Brown Book Group sent me an email one day asking me if I was a fan of Game of Thrones. I'm a huge fan so seeing this email from Clara meant that there was an awesome opportunity coming up. After letting Clara know how much I loved Game of Thrones, she introduced me to this book and asked if I would be interested in reading and reviewing it.
I really enjoyed reading this book. It is going to be a great series. I do see the similarities to Game of Thrones, but I wouldn't say that it is exactly the same. I loved how throughout the chapters each characters story developed, getting to see their side of things and how they experienced everything and their journeys progression throughout the story. Everything flowed well. No focus was lost on the 3 main characters, each with their own motives, but coming together as a group.
Covers are normally what draws me to a book first if its new to me. The cover for this book gives the impression on a male focus. Don't let this fool you. Lowa, loved her (and Spring), lets just say you wouldn't want to be on the wrong side of Lowa that's for sure!
The book is a great insight into the history of the Iron Age and the changes brought about by the Romans. Lots of action and adventure with some dark humour thrown in. I found myself throughout the story often sitting with a grin on my face, or even chuckling to myself.
