Hello my lovelies,

Today's review from myself.  This one I got in July.  Holidays, work and what not delayed my review, but here we are, so I hope you enjoy:

**Disclaimer - I was given a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review**

Summary:

London 2011: In the early hours of a summer morning, a young woman is killed by a bus. A tragic accident? Or suicide?

A year later, her devastated husband, Adrian Wolfe, is determined to find out.

Adrian and Maya had only recently married, and he'd always believed they were happy together.

His children from his two previous marriages loved her. And Maya loved them.

She had a job she enjoyed, she had plenty of friends, and she and Adrian were trying for a baby. They seemed to have the perfect life.

Why then might she have wanted to kill herself?

When Adrian finds a hidden stash of poisonous emails on Maya's laptop he begins to identify the dark cracks in her life.

Because everyone has secrets.

And secrets have consequences

Some of which can be devastating.

Review:

The lovely Najma from Penguin, Random House UK contact me to see if I was interested in reading and reviewing this book.  The cover immediately caught my attention and the synopsis piqued my curiosity.

This book was an enjoyable read mostly, but there was a few times I found myself just reading quickly to get through it.  The author has written each of the characters well, I had no problem picturing them, their accents, their behaviours etc, but Adrian just bugged me.  He just seemed so self obsessed, oh poor me, his side of the story was kind of depressing, not sad depressing but wow, your pathetic Adrian Wolfe.  However I wanted to see the book through, I needed to know the mystery of who was responsible for the death of Maya and why.

I loved reading things from Maya's side, I would have enjoyed the book more if everything was reversed and Maya's death at the end, oh and the majority of the Jane storyline removed.  I know it sounds grim, but I really didn't enjoy the ending, Adrian didn't deserve the ending he got and poor Maya, I felt so sorry for her.  I don't like talking about scenes etc in my reviews because I don't want to spoil anything.  But really......really, hello Adrian Wolfe and families, this poor girl Maya was part of your life, she's now dead because of *Find out by reading the book* and your all like oh lets just forget about it.  Hulk angry, HULK SMASH lol

Any who, apart from Adrian Wolfe lol, I enjoyed the book and also enjoyed the feels it gave me and frustrations with Mr Wolfe.  Go ahead and give it read.
